This policy explains what Mealpen collects, why, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and an encrypted password.
- Body profile you choose to add: age, sex, height, weight, activity level and notes.
- Planning inputs: the GLP-1 medication type, dose stage, injection day, side effects, food preferences and allergies you select when building a plan.
- The meal plans you generate, and whether you choose to make any of them public.
- Billing details are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
2. How we use it
We use your information only to create and show your meal plans, run your account and subscription, keep the service secure, and reply when you contact us. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your health-related inputs for advertising.
3. AI processing
To generate a plan, your planning inputs and body profile are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) through its API. Your name and email address are not included. Under OpenAI's API terms, this data is not used to train its models.
4. Public plans
Plans are private by default. If you make a plan public, its meals and score are visible to anyone, without your name or profile details.
5. Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the service: hosting, email delivery, Stripe for payments and OpenAI for plan generation.
6. Your choices
You can edit your profile at any time and delete your account from your profile page, which removes your account, profile and plans. You can also contact us to request a copy of your data.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted, and access to data is limited to what is needed to operate Mealpen.
8. Children
Mealpen is for adults aged 18 and over.
9. Changes
We will update this page if our practices change.
